Lions Sponsor Eye Examinations October 1958

LIONS SPONSER EYE EXAMINATIONS

Members of the local Lions Club have sponsored free eye examinations for the children in the High Shoals, Long Shoals and Hardin Schools. These examinations are conducted with the use of a visual survey telebinocular machine.

Mrs. W. Leo Smith, far left, operated the machine for the tests at the Hardin School, and the students participating in the picture are Jane Swaney, looking into the machine, and Kay Hensley. Local Lions shown in the background are Aaron Mosteller, Chairman of the committee for the blind, and Sidney Hovis, member of the committee.
