Petroglyphs at Tule Lake in Northern Cal. at Lava Beds Nat. Park

The lake had been along this wall for thousands of years, the Army Corp of Engineers drained most of the lake which caused wind blown sands to start eroding the pictograhs. It was also easy for people to walk up to the wall and vandlize the drawings.
